Over the weekend, I spent some time to upgrade both the logic and the efficiency of the Most Played and Least played simulations.
As I noted in a previous post, I updated the logic to to use historical data to choose least and most played numbers, but apply that against future draws. Users can select how many rounds of draws, they want to see. Future draws will be mimicked using a quick pick. The least and most common numbers lists will be updated after each draw.
To improve readability the history now includes all draws, not just winning draws. I thought this added visibility, in particular, helps the reader see whether the main ticket numbers, the free tickets or the bonus lines (in the case of Lotto Max) were generating the wins.
I still need to finish upgrading the quick simulation, but even that is close to complete. After the quick pick simulation, I am going to return to the analysis pages and improve both the readability and efficiencies of those functions.
